Jay McLemore founded McLemore Law, PLLC. He has over twenty four years of litigation experience, concentrating in the areas of coverage evaluation, defense of personal injury claims (automobile, trucking and wrongful death), premises liability claims, mechanics and materialmen’s liens, food poisoning cases, and workers’ compensation defense. He holds first chair trial experience in jury and bench trials in both state and federal court. Enjoying legal advocacy, he has also completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy course in Boulder, Colorado.
A native of Macon, Georgia, Jay graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1993 with a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He received his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1996. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. He is also admitted to practice in all Federal Courts in Tennessee and Mississippi, as well as the Northern District of Georgia and the Middle District of Alabama. He is a registered attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Jay resides in Franklin with his wife, Sue, and their three children. He and his family attend Christ Community Church. In his free time he enjoys cooking, flying, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking.
